King’s Church Amersham is an independent church, not affiliated to any particular denomination or church stream. However, we think that relationship really matters, not just within this church, but across the whole body of Christ.
Over the years we have benefitted enormously from connecting with others who have similar values but different perspectives. Relationships like this enable us to learn and grow and to receive encouragement and challenge.
We have asked a number of our friends who are senior leaders from the UK and have influence across the world, to act as a Council of Reference for us. These leaders, from a broad spectrum of backgrounds, bring with them skills and perspectives which we believe will really benefit us.
We are grateful that they have made themselves available to offer us advice and provide ongoing friendship.
The Council of Reference acts in an advisory role, and comprises:
David has been a member of the Elim National Leadership Team since 2001. He is Regional Leader of the Metropolitan East and Metropolitan West regions, where he provides covering and leadership to around 130 churches. He has also become a well-known conference speaker both in the UK and abroad.
Graham lectures in Systematic Theology at the London School of Theology. He has written two books on the Scottish theologian Edward Irving, and two books on belief – Why Do You Believe What You Believe About The Holy Spirit? and Why Do You Believe What You Believe About Jesus? He enjoys encouraging people to think through their faith.
