Amersham Town Civic Prayer Breakfast

amersham-town-council-crestcinnamon-networkKing’s Church Amersham were delighted, on Tuesday 18th October, to host the first Amersham Town Civic Prayer Breakfast in association with the Cinnamon Network.

Around 40 local community leaders, ministers, business leaders and educators came together to enjoy a full English breakfast, to hear Steven Baker, MP for High Wycombe speak on the challenges of serving in Parliament and to join in the prayers for the community which were led by the local ministers present. The four boys from Dr Challoner’s School who volunteered to act as waiters for the group were a credit to themselves and their school, carrying out their duties with style and courtesy.

It was a great opportunity to honour, encourage and bless those who either work or volunteer to serve the local area and to hear from each other of all the activities that are happening in our community.
